Ithil is a black metal band with heavy ambient influences that was formed in early 2007. A demo quickly followed, along with planning for a full-length album that unfortunately became stalled indefinitely. Lyrical content is inspired mainly from the works of JRR Tolkien, and musical inspiration is eclectic: it ranges from shoegaze and hardcore to death metal and necro black metal to classical.
